The Village Farm that you see today evolved through several periods of development made over the last 10 years. Today, the estate is both a farm and a tranquil resort for those wishing to experience a taste of Thai country life and a sense of a time and lifestyle lost to many of us today. The Village Farm area covers 80 acres of high ground over 500 meters above sea level- along the ridges and slopes of Baan Pai Ngam village, Wang Nam Keow district, Nakhorn Ratchasima province in North Eastern Thailand. The Korat Plateau rises above the landscape of North Eastern Thailand like a mist shrouded mirage. Bounded in the east by the Mekong River and ringed by forested mountain ranges, which form a series of National Parks. These parks are home to elephants, hornbills, gibbons, squirrels and other species. At elevations of 500 meters above sea level and upward, the region boasts a significantly cooler climate than the surrounding lowlands which, with careful site selection, make it ideal for the production of late ripening wine-grape varieties. The exact site of Wang Nam Keaw can be seen from the map below.
